The 56th Fighter Wing's mission is to train the world's greatest F-16 fighter pilots and maintainers, while deploying mission ready warfighters. The wing, part of Air Education and Training Command, is home to more than 185 F-16 aircraft and 27 squadrons of which eight are F-16 fighter squadrons. The 56th Fighter Wing graduates more than 400 F-16 pilots and 470 crew chiefs annually.
