English: The title of the Murray Heads song does not fit perfectly because we spent altogether three nights in the city of angels. However, we spent only one whole day there. After a 33 hours long arrival, we finally got a shower, new socks, and a bed. The Thai capital did not see much of us at our first evening there. We simply drank away some Tiger beer, of course only in order to ease the spiciness of the curry chicken meal. The rather cool weather at the following morning (24 °C) made Nicole´s mood temporarily icy because she expected at least 30 °C and thought she was rather in Reykjavik than in tropical Bangkok. After breakfast we simply drifted a bit, passing hundreds of small market stands, which offered next to all kinds of dust catchers mainly “originals” of all big watch and clothing labels for a cheap Baht, and cookshops, whose offered food would not really comply with the European sense of delicacies. In the face of grasshoppers, bowels, and totally unknown things, we preferred to eat meat of animals, whose name we could identify reasonably error-free (at least in English). However, we still had a couple of (mostly spicy) surprises. The 10th of December was only a stopover day on the way back home. We report about its not so outstanding events here.
